Hey movie fans! For your consideration, may I recommend my Spiced Cocoa Popcorn for your viewing pleasure? It has sweet, salty, spicy and even tangy notes–basically hitting you in all the taste buds. Plus, it’s still super healthy, made with very little sugar and just enough salt to be satisfying. Make a batch for the Golden Globes, the Academy Awards or just a Netflix & Chill Tuesday.
Spiced Cocoa Popcorn
8 cups plain popped popcorn, either microwave or air-popped
Extra virgin olive oil spray
- In a medium bowl, mix together the cocoa powder, sugar, cinnamon, salt and Tajin or cayenne pepper until thoroughly combined. Set aside.
- Place popcorn popcorn on a parchment lined baking sheet. Spray with the olive oil spray, tossing to coat evenly.
- Transfer the popcorn to a large bowl. Sprinkle with the cocoa mix and toss with a spatula until evenly coated. Enjoy! Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
